Karem has specialized experience in working with addiction and mental health in both adults and adolescents. The last four years she focused on the complex field of opioid addiction. She has extensive experience with working with individuals involved in the criminal justice system, as well as those diagnosed with anxiety, and depression. She believes in teaching, encouraging and empowering others by being a catalyst for change, striving to provide individualized and personalized treatment based on each client’s needs. She uses cognitive behavioral therapy, motivational interviewing, and solution-focused therapy. She speaks Spanish fluently.
