Denise believes that individuals can build a life worth living. Often, individuals struggling with emotional and mental health challenges grew up in a non-validating environment and did not learn effective coping skills. She is committed to the belief that knowledge is power, and has great hope that clients who are committed to counseling in a safe, honest and validating environment will decrease their emotional and mental distress. She specializes in evidence-based DBT and ACT therapies for individuals with borderline-personality traits (emotional deregulation, self-harm, suicidal thoughts and difficulties with relationships), addiction, anxiety, and crisis resolution. Denise has a Master’s Degree and experience in gerontology and is passionate about working with the older adult population and their caregivers.
