Sharon has over 15 years of experience working with mental health issues such as depression, anxiety, and bipolar illness. She is licensed as a domestic violence specialist. She has been the recipient of the Clinical Faculty of the Year Award for 2012 and Recipient of UCASA award for efforts to stop sexual violence in Utah 2012. She has been working with, and experienced in, addiction for the past 17 years. She utilizes Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Dialectical Behavioral Therapy, Motivational Interviewing and Solution Focused Therapy modalities. Sharon is a graduate from the University of Utah with a Bachelor of Science in Sociology, a Certificate in Criminology and Corrections and a Master of Social Work.
