Jamee is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker. She has been working in the field as a social worker for 17 years. She completed a Master’s degree in Social Work at the University of Utah. She’s certified in Domestic Violence perpetrator assessment and treatment as well as forensic sexual abuse interviews. In the beginning 7 years of her career, she worked at Child and Family services rendering her extensive experience in working with children and families in crisis specifically children with significant attachment disorders and victims of neglect, physical and sexual abuse. She specialized in adoptions, home studies and facilitating treatment interventions for troubled teens. She’s taught parenting classes and engaged in individual and group therapy specializing in substance abuse and domestic violence assessment and treatment as well as psycho-educational groups. She has experience in the application of psychotherapy, cognitive behavioral therapy, motivational interviewing, solution-focused therapy, and DBT. She works as a crisis worker in the Emergency Department at Utah Valley Hospital where she specializes in evaluating and assisting patients in crisis and identifying interventions that prove to be most beneficial yet tailored to their specific needs. She works with patients that suffer from Schizophrenia, Bipolar Disorder, Anxiety, Depression, Dissociative Identity disorder, substance abuse problems, personality disorders as well as somatoform disorders.
