Internationally, and within the U.S., she has provided short-term counseling and education to military personnel and their families for over 10 years (including two rotations at Mt. Home AFB). Ms. Sheaffer has provided presentations on eating disorders and other addictive conditions, co-dependency, crisis intervention assessment, stress reduction, self-esteem improvement, parenting skills, couple’s communication education, cognitive restructuring, assertiveness training, depression, and anxiety management. Just prior to her arrival in Boise, in 2013, Ms. Sheaffer was the Employee Assistance Therapist for the U.S. Postal Service, Santa Ana District, in Long Beach, CA. In April of 2015, she opened her private practice in downtown Boise.
