Cary Shelton, LCSW

Cary Shelton is an LCSW with over 30 years of experience helping individuals and families with a wide variety of mental health and relationship challenges including depression, anxiety, sexual addictions, faith crises, and grief. He has been trained in Cognitive Behavioral, Acceptance and Commitment, and Solution-Focused therapies and with the Gottman approach to couples counseling, but mainly tries to fit his approach to what his clients need. He sees therapy as a collaborative effort of engagement with his clients to help them wade through some difficult times and gain the support, confidence, and coping skills they need for better functioning and fulfillment. He believes balance and self-acceptance are key to a meaningful and healthy life and he loves making people laugh, reading, movies, service, the outdoors, fitness, sports, family, and collecting root beer bottles.
